"I registered for a half marathon being held on February 3rd, 2008 and instead of my normal training schedule of "logging miles" I concentrated on the CATZ training sessions. Between Dec.'07 and Feb. '08 I did only 3 runs of 10-12 miles. However, since joining CATZ, I have religiously attended from 2 to as many as 5 sessions per week. During this time I have seen my "core" strength increase, my sprinting and recovery time improve. Well, I ran the Surf City USA half Marathon in cold blowing rain on Sunday morning February 3rd. To my surprise and excitement, I felt GREAT the entire race and turned in a Personal Best of 1:43:21 which crushed my previous best time by approximately 15 minutes! My next full marathon is in April and I can't wait to see how I do then! "

Sports: Cameron-Baseball; Linsey-Volleyball
Goals for next year: Cameron- Gain 10lbs of muscle,and to run a 6.8 sec 60 sprint. Linsey-Play Varsity volleyball for McNeil High School.Sherry- To continue to get in better condition and lose weight.
Athletic Achievement: Cameron-Running a 4.0 30 sprint. Linsey-Starting on the JV volleyball team as a Freshman.
How you got started with CATZ: Sherry- All three of my kids were doing CATZ classes and Jim Bell talked me into trying an Adult Fitness class.


Getting to know The Mirtsching Family:

Any pre-game or pre-practice rituals or routines? Superstitions?
Cameron- I always roll my baseball pant legs up before the game. Linsey-I put on everything that goes onto my right leg first and then my left, while listening to an ipod playlist.

Most memorable Sports moment.
Cameron- Hitting my first home run. Linsey- Serving nine consecutive serves in a row versus Round Rock.

Specific academic goals or career choices in mind?
Cameron-Petroleum Engineering. Linsey-Not to fail any classes. Sherry-I love being able to stay at home and raise my children.

Describe a moment or obstacle you have had to overcome. What did you learn from that experience?
Cameron-Not being so hard on myself. Things happen just learn from them!!!

Who is the most influential person/people in your life?
Cameron- My Dad, The ABC Coaches & The CATZ Staff. Linsey- My Mom. She works hard at everything and gets things done. Sherry- My family and friends are the most influential people in my life.
