Athlete Profile
Jeremy Booth
Age: 28
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Team: Major League Baseball
School: Formerly of New Mexico State University
Sports: Baseball
Goals for next year: I want to be in and stay in the Major Leagues.
Athletic Achievement: As a team, my greatest memory is helping my Jr. College team make it to the Championship game. To get there with that team was special. As an individual, signing a professional contract is something I dreamed about and achieved at 20 years old. Also, I was a High School All-American (twice) and College All-American (twice).
How you got started with CATZ: Last season, I wasn't feeling good...knee and elbow problems kept me from playing a full season. I was hurt and decided to train to be as strong and healthy as I could. I found CATZ on the internet and joined the program.
Getting to know Jeremy Booth:
FAVORITE CATZ EXERCISE:
Ab Dolly walks forward & backward.
LEAST FAVORITE CATZ EXERCISE:
Anything with the words "big finish."
WHAT'S YOUR BEST NON-ATHLETIC SKILL:
Critical thinking & analysis. My father is an attorney & my mother is a school administrator. It comes from them.
FAVORITE BOSTON RESTAURANT:
DePalma's in Winthrop.
LEAST FAVORITE CATZ EXERCISE:
Anything with the words "big finish."
THING YOU'LL MISS MOST ABOUT THE NEW ENGLAND:
Changing of the seasons. I admit that I'm glad it was a mild winter, though.
HOW HAS YOUR TRAINING EVOLVED WITH CATZ:
I can see how my training translates onto the field, now. My bat speed is faster. My foot speed is better. And, as a catcher, my pop time is shorter. From glove to glove, my pop time before CATZ was 1.95. Now, it's averaging 1.75
