Craig Galloway

Owner/General Manager | Coach | NSCA-CPT cgalloway@catzsports.com

Craig Galloway is the Owner, General Manager and a Performance Coach at CATZ in Wilmington.

Craig graduated from Cornell University in 1991 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of Cornell's nationally ranked wrestling team each of his 4 years. In one capacity or another, Craig has been involved in athletics for most of his life. In fact, he is that rare breed of wrestler who can actually shoot a basketball! Craig has been coaching youth athletes for over 20 years and finally turned his passion for athletics and working with youth into a profession when he opened his first CATZ Performance Center in 2006.

After years of engineering work, the transition to becoming a strength coach was very natural – according to Craig "in actuality, the human body is nothing more than a very complex engineered system." Craig received his first Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2000.

In the years since starting CATZ, Craig has conducted thousands of training sessions; he has delivered dozens of talks on subjects ranging from Nutrition, Exercise, Corporate Wellness, Youth Obesity and Coaching Youth Athletes. He has been featured in the Boston Globe and has been a regular contributor to trade journals and fitness articles across the country. Craig has tirelessly worked to bring sound training and sound living to athletes of ALL ages (that includes you weekend warriors!)

Perhaps his proudest achievement is the community he has created at his Wilmington CATZ Center. In his words “it is a training atmosphere like no other.” The positive energy is felt the second you walk in the door. And so is the passion and genuine concern for every individual who trains at CATZ. "We are one big family – everyone helping and supporting one another." There may be smarter trainers (not many, mind you) but nobody creates a better environment to train in. And the relationships formed at CATZ extend far beyond the training sessions (as evidenced by the social activities that are constantly being created by the members to bring everyone together outside of the sweat and hard work).

So if you have any interest in training for yourself, your children or anyone close to you; please send Craig a note or give him a call. He would love to talk with you any time and welcome you to his CATZ family.
