Brian Lee

Performance Director/CATZ Management Team Member | MS, AT/L, CSCS blee@catzsports.com

B Lee has been involved in the sports performance and rehabilitation industry for 8 years. After graduating from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, B Lee obtained his Master's of Science degree in Sports Health Care from A.T. Still University in Mesa. He has been involved in Athletic Training and sports performance enhancement at the youth, college and professional level. Prior to becoming Director of Performance for CATZ, B Lee spent 4 years as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Arizona Rattlers Arena Football team, and 2 years as Director of AthletesXcel Sports Performance training at Spooner Physical Therapy. He also has experience working with professional soccer athletes as the Head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach for the Arizona Thunder (1998-2000) and the Arizona Heatwave (2001-2005).

Clinically, B Lee served as an Athletic Trainer for STI Physical Therapy in Phoenix (2000-2004) and educationally, served as Clinical Instructor for Grand Canyon University's Athletic Training Education Program (2001-2006).

B Lee is a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Morgan Lee

Morgan Lee joins the CATZ team after a decade of service in higher education at Phoenix College.

Morgan graduated from Northern Arizona University in December of 1997 with a degree in Fitness/Wellness Management and started working for Phoenix College in January of 1998 as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach, a Fitness Center Instructor, and Strength and Conditioning Coach. In July 1999, Morgan took the reins at the Head Coach for the Women's Soccer Team and was integrated into the full-time staff in the Athletic Department at Phoenix College. During this time and among other duties, he was called on to fundraise, coordinate the department website, serve as the Arizona Community College Athletic Association Coaches Rep, and place athletes into 4-year academic/athletic programs. In 2003, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics and was an integral part of the management and administrative team for a Department that houses 14 varsity sports and encompasses over 400 athletes.

While at Phoenix College, Morgan worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, where he has helped the Phoenix College Women's Softball Team win 7 NJCAA National Championships (2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008). He also had the pleasure of working with Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and Wrestling in the Strength and Conditioning arena.

Morgan began his soccer career all over the valley with various soccer clubs. He graduated from high school locally at Marcos de Niza in Tempe, where he was an integral part of the 3-Time Soccer State Championship Dynasty (1990, 1991, and 1992). After high school, he continued his athletic and academic career at Scottsdale Community College. While at SCC, he earned the honors of team Captain and NCJAA All-American both his freshman and sophomore years. In 1997, Morgan signed a contract with the Arizona Sahuaros and played with them for 2 seasons.

Away from the field, Morgan enjoys an occasional round of golf, mountain biking, snowboarding, and traveling. He is married to his wife, Keri, and they have two Airedale Terriers named Jack and Stella.

Gabe Lucas

Physical Therapist | PT, CSCS

Gabe Lucas joined the CATZ Team as a Physical Therapist in September 2009. He received his Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in 1999 and has been practicing in Arizona for the past 10 years, including serving as Clinical Director at 2 facilities in the valley. Gabe is also ASTYM certified and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Gabe grew up in Tempe, AZ and attended Marcos de Niza HS. He played soccer in high school and at the University of New England, where he was an All-American. Gabe is married to Monica and they are expecting their first baby in November 2009.

Brian Clark

Brian Clark was raised in Tempe, AZ and joined the CATZ team in March of 2006. He attended Marcos de Niza High School, where he played football and baseball. Brian pursued his career with football at Scottsdale Community College for one year and then transferred to the University of Arizona where he studied psychology. Brian is married and has two beautiful children who mean the world to him.

At age 11, Brian was diagnosed with cancer. He battled Leukemia and was determined to beat the odds. After being diagnosed, Brian had to take some time off from sports because of the chemotherapy, but was back on the field just one year later. His commitment to helping kids has been a big part of his life for over 20 years. Brian dedicates his time throughout the year by volunteering for the Children’s Cancer Network and Phoenix Children's Hospital.

While at CATZ, Brian has been working with professional athletes, adults, and youth sport groups. He continues to work hard to ensure he gives everyone the best chance to be a better person and athlete. Being a performance coach at CATZ has given Brian the opportunity to meet extraordinary families and pursue a career that he is so passionate about.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you that are looking to better your life on and off the field.

Courtney Kacenga

Courtney Kacenga joined the CATZ team in May of 2008. She is a native of Tucson, AZ having attended both Sabino and Buena High Schools. Here, she played basketball, softball, and volleyball. Courtney pursued her softball career on a scholarship to Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Here she received her Bachelors Degree in Adult Fitness. After graduating, Courtney continued her education with a Masters Degree in Exercise Science with emphasis on Exercise Physiology. While finishing her degree, she was a graduate assistant for Recreational Sports where she taught fitness classes and assisted with the Strength and Conditioning Program for Olympic sports: women's swimming and diving, men's and women's basketball, softball, as well as men's and women's soccer.

In January 2008, Courtney moved back to Arizona where she completed an internship at Athletes Performance in Tempe. Here, she worked under the Metabolic Specialist which she trained professional athletes, specializing in energy systems development and VO2 testing.

Courtney stays active in the community while playing on a women's soccer team as well as participating in any kind of challenging events from ˝ marathons to adventure races.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Courtney brings to CATZ a variety of training experiences from youth to professional athletes. Her passion is training athletes of all walks of life and helping people achieve their goals, no matter how big or small.

Linda McCallister

Physical Therapy Office Manager lmccallister@catzsports.com

Linda serves as the Office Manager for our Physical Therapy Department. She has been with us for a 1.5 years and is the person that you will initially speak to when settin up your appointment or upon checking in for your appointment(s). Additionally, Linda will help you take care of communicating your coverage with you and your insurance company, as well as, keeping you up to date with the status if your insurance payments for our services.

"I absolutely love my job. I have the best of both worlds....I get to do the financial end of the insurance for CATZ Physical Therapy and also be in contact with all the patients, which is what I enjoy the most," says Linda.

Trey Thompson

Exercise Specialist

Trey joined the CATZ Physical Therapy Team as an Exercise Specialist in 2007. He graduated college from Kansas Wesleyan University with a Bachlors Degree in Communications. While attending Kansas Wesleyan, Trey was a Two Time All American soccer player and Two Time Conference Player of the Year his Junior and Senior seasons. After completing college, Trey went on to sign a contract in the United Soccer League Premier Development League to the Lancaster Rattlers. After playing two years in the league with various other stints on other professional teams, he decided to continue his education a pursue a masters degree. Trey has his National Youth Soccer Coaching License and is currently coaching an under 11 boys team in the Gilbert Soccer Club. Trey grew up with a unique backround, living overseas in Belgium, as well as traveling over numerous parts of the world with his Club Soccer Team, the '84 Tempe Puma Pros. He was the captain of one of the only club soccer teams in Arizona to win every Arizona State Championship from the under 11 age group to the under 19 age group. The '84 Pros also won Three Far West Regional Championships, as well as one National Runner Up. Trey attended Mountain View High School as a three sport athlete: soccer, basketball, and track. He spent a year at Arizona State University as a sprinter before he decided to transfer to Kansas to play on the same college team as his younger brother. In his spare time, Trey is very involed with editing and producing music and short films.

Luke Seibolt

Exercise Specialist

Luke graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Pre-Professional Studies in May 2009. He recently sat for the MCAT with plans of Medical School at a school yet to be determined.

While at Notre Dame, Luke was a 4-year member of the men's soccer team and Monogram Award Winner. Additionally, the men's soccer team earned the honor of Big East Regular Season Champions twice in his four years.

Luke played club soccer for Sereno Soccer Club from 2000-2005 and his team was the Arizona State Champs in 2005. He graduated from Gilbert High School.

In his spare time, Luke likes to workout and watch Notre Dame Football. GO IRISH!

Cathy Strickland

Cathy joined the CATZ Team in May 2009. She was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and graduated from ASU in December of 2008 with a Bachelor degree in Secondary Physical Education. She is currently a middle school dance and P.E. teacher at Chaparral Elementary School. She has been a dancer since she was three years old, and danced professionally for our Arizona Rattlers Arena Football team for 5 seasons. Cathy cheered/tumbled throughout high school, and since has coached cheer for Dobson High School, as well as Arizona Heat cheer gym. In her spare time, she like long boarding, hiking, swimming, working out, snowboarding, and spending time at her cabin. She also loves being an Aunty to her two nieces! "I am very excited to be a part of CATZ!!!" states Cathy.

Greg Vanney

Greg Vanney, raised in Tempe, AZ, joins the CATZ staff with an outstanding playing career in professional soccer. In 1996, Greg was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy (1996-2002) in the inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) College Draft. Throughout his career, Greg has helped lead his professional team to three MLS Cup appearances, the US Open Cup Championship & a CONCACAF Champions Cup Championship. He was also selected twice to the MLS Best XI before transferring to the French 1st Division Club, S.C. Bastia.

Greg returned to the MLS’s F.C. Dallas team after competing for S.C. Bastia for four seasons in France. He helped F.C. Dallas improve to its best record in a decade, including an appearance in the U.S. Open Cup Final. As a member of F.C. Dallas, Greg captained the MLS All-Star Team to a 4-1 victory over Premier League side Fulham. Currently, Greg plays with 4 time MLS Cup Champion D.C. United.

Greg was also a part of the US National Team Program for over 11 years. Greg has appeared for the National Team 37 times (CAPS) and was unfortunate to miss out on the 2002 World Cup due to a knee injury in the World Cup preparation match versus Jamaica only 5 days before the team was departing to Korea. Later in his career, Greg help the US team to the 2005 Gold Cup Championship.

Greg has been involved in Arizona sports throughout his career. Greg is the founder of the Arizona Futbol Club (AZFC) in Tempe, Arizona. And, in 1999, he was voted to the Arizona Republic -- 100 Best Athletes of the Century. A graduate of Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, Greg spent one year at Florida International University before transferring to UCLA.
