William Meyer

Bill is the Performance Director of CATZ-Austin. Bill began his career with The University of North Texas Track and Field Team where he was an assistant coach in their Strength and conditioning program. Bill then accepted a position within the MISL as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Dallas Sidekicks. While working with Bill, the Sidekicks were able to go from a 9-27 record in 2003 to become the 2004 MISL Western Division Champions. Bill then took his talents to Velocity Sports Performance where he was a Sports Performance Specialist. In this role Bill worked with Athletes ranging from age seven to professional, to enhance their on field performance. Bill was also responsible for preparing athletes physically and mentally for College and NFL Combine tests. He implemented a project that was designed to increase the reflex and reaction time in athletes. Bill has extensive experience working with athletes at the professional and collegiate level. He has coached athletes from Major League Baseball,The National Football League, Arena Football, Scottish Premier Soccer League and Dallas Harlequins Rugby. Bill received his BS in Kinesiology and History from the University of North Texas. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, and USA Weightlifting Level I Coach who is SPARQ Certified. Bill is also a licenced Nutrition Consultant. Bill has recently received the highly sought-after certification of Strength and Conditioning Expert from the world reknowned Tudor Bompa Institute in Ontario, Canada which shows his expertise in periodized planning and sport specific training.

Tim Meyer

Tim holds a Master in Kinesiology and a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of North Texas. Before coming to CATZ, Tim was the founder/director of a youth athlete sports performance program at an Austin area fitness center. Tim has experience working with the University of North Texas women's soccer team while working on his graduate studies, before moving onto Southern Methodist University where he was a Strength and Conditioning intern with the men's soccer team. Along with CATZ training, Tim is currently training Jeremy Calahan of the Dallas Desperados, and the Austin Amp'd PASL Soccer Team.

Jim Bell

Jim Bell is the CATZ Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2007 Austin Wranglers Arena Football Team. In 2006, Jim served as the Wranglers Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, playing an instrumental part in the Wranglers first-ever playoff appearance. Before coming to CATZ, Jim built his own training practice as an NASM Certified Personal Trainer in the Dallas, TX area. He also served as Regional Adult Fitness Director for sports performance and fitness facilities in Dallas and Allen, TX. Jim has trained MLB players Torii Hunter (Minnesota Twins), LaTroy Hawkins (Colorado Rockies), Craig Monroe (Detroit Tigers), and Junior Spivey (Milwaukee Brewers).

Scott Aubin

Scott is the Director of Sports Programs for CATZ-Austin. Scott began his coaching career as the founding Head Coach for McCallum High School Lacrosse.From 1998 to present McCallum has represented their school in the district playoffs, and in 2001, 2002 and 2003 Scott coached the squad to 3 consecutive undefeated seasons, going to the Division II State Tourney in 2002 and 2003. Scott was named the 2006 US Lacrosse Texas High School Coach of the Year, and in 1998 McCallum was awarded the inaugural Patterson Trophy for bringing the most honor to the sport of Lacrosse. Scott is Married and the father of 4 children.

Lindsay Cotter

Lindsay is the Nutrition Specialist at CATZ-Austin and is also one of our Performance Coaches.She graduated the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Nutrition/Human Ecology and received her ACE personal trainer certification at UT as well. She has trained clients and taught exercise classes for 5 years while incorporating her nutrition background. Lindsay also started a run program at a local health club that led to her involvement with triathlons in Kona, Hawaii. Prior to that Lindsay was the Fitness Director at a Hawaiian Resort, and became part of the LavaMan Trathlon which she is still involved with as Assistant Race Director. Lindsay still has a passion for triathlons and returns to Hawaii for 6-8 weeks out of the year. Lindsay currently resides in Austin with her new husband James Cotter.

Christie Powell

CP was the founder and owner of Champion Performance Physical Therapy and is currently the Director of CATZ Physical Therapy. CP was a high school athlete in soccer, softball and volleyball who graduated from Westwood High School in Austin and played collegiate soccer and softball at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where she received her undergraduate degree. She then received her Masters from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2001 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Exercise Science at the University of Texas. CP is dedicated to working with youth and adult athletes and is involved in various programs to promote education and increase awareness of athletic injuries. CP works with several local physicians to offer free injury assessments and injury prevention seminars throughout the year. CP’s passion and experience as a collegiate athlete allows her to relate with her patients and create unique relationships that last well beyond their rehabilitation.

Shayne Willis

Shayne is one of our Physical Therapists at CATZ Physical Therapy here in Austin. She grew up in Burns, Oregon where she played volleyball, track, cross country, and dance at Burns High School. Shayne then went to Pacific University near Portland, Oregon, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with Emphasis in Sports Medicine. She was a member of the “Kickboxers”, the University’s dance team for 4 years during undergraduate school. Shayne worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for Pacific University with the baseball, basketball, wrestling, and volleyball teams.

Shayne continued her education at Pacific and went on to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and has been practicing for the past 3 years. As a Physical Therapist, Shayne is dedicated to patient care, patient education, and providing therapy in a goal-oriented manner.

Bridget Clark

Bridget grew up in upstate New York where she attended Seton Catholic Central

High School where she played soccer, basketball and softball. She was an all-state soccer player and continued to play club soccer when she attended Penn State. She also played raquetball at Penn State competitively, earning a national runner up title. Bridget continued her education at Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) for both a Masters of Science and Doctorate in physical therapy. Bridget has been practicing physical therapy for eight years with focus on orthopedics and sports medicine. She lives in Austin, enjoys playing sports, hiking, reading and spending time with her husband, son and 2 dogs.

Blake Gould

Blake is one of the Sports Performance Coaches here at CATZ-183.

Blake graduated in 2006 from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City Iowa, where he received a degree in Sport Science with a minor in Psychology.During his time at Briar Cliff he was received the 2006 Outstanding Sports Science Major award. Blake was also a three year football letter winner as a receiver & tight end.

After college Blake moved to Lincoln, NE and was a PT Tech for a year and a half where he worked with people of all different ages and injuries. During his time in Lincoln Blake also volunteered as a youth football coach for 6th grade boys. Blake has since moved to Austin to pursue his true passion for Strength and Sports Performance and has recently passed his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS).

Lauren Sparrow

Lauren graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks and Sport Management. While there she was a 4 year letter winner on the VCU Field Hockey Team, where she was on the CAA All Conference Team & the CAA All Conference Tournament team. Lauren was also a four year member of the VCU Honor Role, and received the ACE Award for Leadership and Academics. After graduation Lauren spent time as a personal trainer at a women’s athletic facility and then was a manager for a Gold’s Gym for a year and a half. During her summers she volunteered her time in Pennsylvania for an Outdoor Wilderness Christian Camp. Lauren then moved to Austin to coach the Varsity Field Hockey squad at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. Lauren is now responsible for the entire Field Hockey Program and also coaches the Varsity Softball Team.
