CATZ Athletes Take Top Honors at the AVP Players Banquet

Misty May-Treanor took home four awards winning the Best Offensive Player, Best Defensive Player (defender) and Most Valuable Player honors while also earning the title of Team of the Year with partner Kerri Walsh.

Another AVP star in the making, Whitney Pavlik, was named the women's Rookie of the Year. The 24-year old graduate of Mater Dei High School, was also a stand out college player at UCI. The Orange County native broke into the Top 10 in 10 of the 15 tournaments she participated in, finishing a career best fifth in the Boulder, Colo. tournament.

Both Misty and Whitney train at CATZ Sports in Anaheim along with AVP standouts Jen Boss and April Ross. Ross took home Rookie of the Year honors in 2006.
