Ross Adds Another Win in Portland

The AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour finished up its trip through the Pacific Northwest with a visit to the Rose Quarter Arena in Portland. April Ross won her third consecutive title while Brad Keenan won his first HWN title.

Ross, the 2007 AVP Most Improved Player, finished up an impressive weekend by teaming up with Dianne DeNecochea to defeat regular partner Jen Boss and Annett Davis, 17-15. Ross joined Rachel Wacholder with the most HWN titles this year, four.

Keenan, the 2006 AVP Rookie of the Year, finished a perfect evening by partnering with Casey Jennings to defeat Mike Lambert and Stein Metzger, 15-13, in the finals.

In women's pool play, there was a three-way tie for first, as Ross, Boss, and DeNecochea all finished 2-1. A point-differential tie-breaker was used, which placed Ross in position one and Boss in position two.

The men's pool play saw Keenan seeded first after going undefeated, 3-0. There was a three-way tie for second, with Lambert taking the position after the point-differential tie-breaker.

The AVP Crocs Hot Winter Nights Tour will finish on Feb. 23 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
