COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 5, 2007) – Jen Boss (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and April Ross (Newport Beach, Calif.), who won their first SWATCH-FIVB title and became the lowest-seeded team to win a SWATCH-FIVB Tour title since 1992 when they won the ConocoPhillips Grand Slam on June 30 in Stavanger, Norway, were named the USAToday.com Olympic Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

U.S. Men’s National Team member Gabe Gardner (San Clemente, Calif.) is also mentioned in the article for his 26-point performance against Italy in the United States’ 3-1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 31-29) FIVB World League victory on June 29. The win put the United States in the World League finals for the first time since 2000.
