Jake Duker Named NESCAC Soccer Player of the Week

AMHERST, MA - Amherst College sophomore striker Jake Duker (Newton, MA/Belmont Hill) was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week on Monday after he netted five goals in two conference wins last week.

Duker netted a hat-trick against NESCAC rival Conn. College last Wednesday afternoon in a 3-1 victory to move the Jeffs to 8-1 overall. Duker followed up his great mid-week performance with two more goals in another 3-1 win at Middlebury on Saturday. Duker’s five goal week and pair of game-winners moved him to 17 points on the season, with 7 goals and 3 assists for the 9-1 (5-1 NESCAC) Lord Jeffs. Duker currently sits fourth in the NESCAC in points-per-game and goals-per-game as well.
