CATZ athlete makes USA Lacrosse World Team Tryouts

Woburn, MA (May 18, 2005) CATZ athlete, Mike Battista, has been invited to the USA Lacrosse World Team try-outs in June. A total of 30 attackmen, 42 midfielders, 36 defensemen and 12 goalies were invited to participate by the 2006 U.S. Team Men’s Player Selection Committee, chaired by three-time U.S. team player Larry Quinn.

Battista has been a first line midfielder for the Boston Cannons since 2001. Last year, Battista tied his career high for points with 26 and set a career high with four two-point goals.

This is the first invitation for Mike Battista who has been training with CATZ since the end of 2004.
