"I registered for a half marathon being held on February 3rd, 2008 and instead of my normal training schedule of "logging miles" I concentrated on the CATZ training sessions. Between Dec.'07 and Feb. '08 I did only 3 runs of 10-12 miles. However, since joining CATZ, I have religiously attended from 2 to as many as 5 sessions per week. During this time I have seen my "core" strength increase, my sprinting and recovery time improve. Well, I ran the Surf City USA half Marathon in cold blowing rain on Sunday morning February 3rd. To my surprise and excitement, I felt GREAT the entire race and turned in a Personal Best of 1:43:21 which crushed my previous best time by approximately 15 minutes! My next full marathon is in April and I can't wait to see how I do then! "

All-American Football Camp

This summer over 200 of the nation's top college football prospects will gather in Southern California for the 5th Annual PrepStar Magazine All-American Football Combine & Mini-Camp.

Players will head to Anaheim, CA for the weekend of July 26th & 27th where they will compete in a variety of athletic and football skill drills. This year the camp expands from one day, to two days, for the first time ever. Servite High School will play host for this prestigious event.

On day one players will be tested in such athletic drills as the 40 yard dash, the pro-shuttle, the 3-cone drill and the bench press. Every player in attendance will also go through a speed & agility training session to cap off the day.

On day two players will be split into their position groups for early morning instruction before heading to the (always exciting) one-on-one competition. Before the camp is over every player will be able to compete in a variety of football drills such as 7-on-7, and the lineman pass rush league. The day will wrap up with the much-awaited All-American Drill - where "two step thud" keeps everyone in check.

For registration information please call the Camp Hotline at (800) 763-6025.
