CATZ athlete makes USA Lacrosse World Team Tryouts
Woburn, MA (May 18, 2005) CATZ athlete, Mike Battista, has been invited to the USA Lacrosse World Team try-outs in June. A total of 30 attackmen, 42 midfielders, 36 defensemen and 12 goalies were invited to participate by the 2006 U.S. Team Men’s Player Selection Committee, chaired by three-time U.S. team player Larry Quinn.
Battista has been a first line midfielder for the Boston Cannons since 2001. Last year, Battista tied his career high for points with 26 and set a career high with four two-point goals.
This is the first invitation for Mike Battista who has been training with CATZ since the end of 2004.

The tryouts, which are open to the public, will be held from June 13-16 at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, and 23 players will be selected from those tryouts to represent the United States at the International Lacrosse Federation World Championships in July 2006 in London, Ontario.
